Army retires 15 Generals

No fewer than five Major Generals and 15 Brigadier Generals have been retired from service by the Nigerian Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineers in Edo State.

The Major Generals, who were hosted by the Corps Commandant of NAEME, Brigadier General Suleiman Labaran, were Major General Thomson Oliomogbe, Major General Kefre Ekwo, Major General Nnemeka Maduegbunam, Major General Airende and Major General Adekanye.

The Brigadier Generals include Brigadier General Patrick Onaghise, Brigadier General Peter Aremu, Brigadier General Idi Adamu, Brigadier General Samuel Ayo and Brigadier General Jacob Amao.

Others are Brigadier General Joshua Ibilaye, Brigadier General Ibrahim Alawode, Brigadier General Abel Chukwuka Ani and Brigadier General Abel Okpeki. CONTINUE READING...



Speaking at the pulling-out ceremony held at the Nigerian Army School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering in Auchi, Brigadier General Labaran described the retired Generals as officers who had rendered unalloyed service to the nation.

Present at the ceremony were the Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, the Otaru of Auchi, Alhaji Aliru Momoh (Ikelebe 111) and some senior officers of the Army.

The reviewing officer and one of the retired Generals, Major General Oliomoghe, who spoke on behalf of others, appreciated the Nigerian Army for giving the retired officers the opportunity to serve the country.
