BREAKING: APC Assembly Primary Election turns Bloody in Mainland, Lagos


The House of Assembly primaries of the All Progressives Congress became bloody yesterday with reports of violence in different locations, some turning deadly.

In Apena area of Mainland Constituency 1 of Mainland Local Governmrnt Area of Lagos State, four people were reportedly killed when the primaries turned violent.

Reports from reaching us had it that the exercise became violent at Apena when the result was announced in favour of the immediate past chairman of Lagos Mainland LG, Oladele Adekanye, who defeated the incumbent member, Bashiru Oloto.

The loser did not take the result kindly, as he complained that the exercise was manipulated to favour a certain candidate. In the process, his supporters became violent.

The story was not different in Ifako/Ijaiye Constituency II under Ojokoro Local Council Development Area after the results were announced, as some people were alleged to have been killed in the violence that ensued.
