Following
the suspension of Bamanga Tukur, the former National Chairman of the Peoples
Democratic Party from the party, the secretary of the Board of Trustees,
Senator Walid Jubrin has called on Bamanga Tukur to apologise to the party and
to President Jonathan because he is aware his actions violated the party’s
constitution. Senator Jubrin said: “It is time Tukur swallowed his pride and
apologise to the party and, indeed, Mr President. Continue reading....
“At a time when the party was gearing for elections, it is absurd that it’s past chairman should be seen to be dragging the party into disrepute. “We should not be changing party chairmen like clothes every time. “I expected that Tukur would for the sake of our party, join hands and ensure that our party was successful at next year’s election than this unnecessary distraction the suit is causing.”
